Video Production Process
1) Pre-Production
Consultation
This is where we learn about your business. Including competition, marketplace, target costumers and your objectives with the video.
This is also where we advise you on how to achieve your objectives.
The Script
Based on our consultation, we begin the process of writing and developing the spoken words that you want your audience to hear.
Storyboard
Now we design how the video is going to look. This is a shot by shot visual representation and a roadmap for how we plan our video shoot.
Voiceover
Since we’ve established a script that everyone’s on board with, it’s time to record the voice actor reading that script. With this recording, we create what’s referred to as a “radio edit”, which is only the spoke audio. This allows us to confirm that the tone, pacing and dialogue deliver the desired effects as a standalone without video. (Note: The style of some videos may not require that the radio edit is cohesive as a standalone)
Graphics and Effects
If the storyboard calls for it, we then produce the visual effects not capture with a camera. This is all of the animated visuals, text and special effects.
Filming Arrangement
This is where we plan out our shoots. This entails locking down a schedule, confirming locations, reserving and preparing equipment and scheduling personnel.
2) Production
Filming
Now that we’ve done our due diligence and everyone is happy with where the things are at so far, it’s time to start shooting the video, using the storyboard as our guide.
3) Post-Production
Editing
This is where the magic happens. Where all of our planning, creating and hard work come together in order to bring this project to life. This will often be delivered to a client for review in 3 stages.
First will be a rough cut that simply shows the raw video images laid over the voice over and other natural sounds, as well as the graphics and effects, in order to confirm that the project is coming together as was expected.
The second will be the final review after the video has gone through a fine tuning process of color grading, sound mixing and polishing. This is what the editor hopes will be the final product, but the client does have the opportunity to make any last minute critiques.
The third is the final product delivered for distribution, so the world can watch your story and hear your message.
